Challenge Me!

You guys are so awesome! Thank you for your support, and for being so nice when I posted my “before” pictures yesterday. I didn’t really expect so many wonderful, encouraging comments and tweets about my weight loss plan, but I appreciate each one. EACH ONE!

So, I want to ask you guys to challenge me this week. I’m doing fairly well with staying within my Weight Watchers Points(Plus..whatever), but as far as exercise goes, I need some motivation!

So, I’m stealing an old idea from Tyler of 344Pounds. I remember him blogging asking his readers to help him with his workout pledges. For every comment on his blog, he’d workout 1 minute.

My idea is, for every comment from you, I’ll work out 3 minutes this week. (Limit one comment per person, because I want this to be a realistic goal.)

So, comment away!! Please! :-)

If I get 15 comments, my goal is to work out 45 minutes this week!! (although I’ll break that in one day, since I usually put in a good hour at the gym!) I’d love for you to share this with friends to comment…I need a goal and I know y’all can help motivate me with a wonderful exercise goal!

  1. You are doing great, A! You can do this! :)

  2. I’ve never heard of that before, but it’s pretty cool! Accountability makes it so much easier to lose weight or tone up. Otherwise I always end up sitting on the couch. :/

  3. You can do it!! 😀
I need a little motivation too, the snow this week put a cramp in my workouts.

  4. I’m usually a lurker. I just wanted to wish you good luck in accomplishing your goals!

  5. Normally just a lurker too, but wishing you Good Luck!

  6. Good luck! Working out everyday is hard, I wish I was better motivated myself.

  7. You know I’m challenging you!!! I even Tweeted about this so you’ll get lots more comments. Muahahahaha. :)

  8. You know how much I love you darling Amy!!! You can achieve anything that you set your mind to, and I’m proud of you for even starting!!! :) Keep it up and you know where to find me if you need motivation!

    Good Luck!

  10. Also a lurker, read always, never comment; but I know I can always use some extra motivation, so I wanted to pass some along to you. Good Luck!

  11. Put in 3 minutes for me. Go go go!

  13. I love this idea! You can do it, Amy!

What is your exercise of choice? I’ve been doing Couch to 5K and several different Jillian Michaels DVDs. I’ve already completed C25K, but I personally enjoy Week 6 Day 2 (walk for 5 minutes, run for 10 minutes, walk for 3 minutes, run for 10 minutes, walk for 5 minutes). It’s my go-to workout when I’m on the treadmill because I’m not very good at running for longer than 10 minutes when I’m inside. Outside is a completely different story, but I don’t run in the snow or rain. I melt (and I’m clumsy so I figure running in the snow is not my best plan).

  14. Usually just a lurker too… you can do this!

  15. You can do it!

  16. YES! I think I might be number 15, which means you’re up to 45 minutes this week! Just take it easy and spread it out over several days! My meeting yesterday was all about activity and they were saying that it doesn’t even matter if you move 15 minutes in the morning and 15 at night, so long as you’re moving!

  17. Go girl, go! 3 mins for me :)

(p.s. This is Amanda from WHT and PoxyD on Twitter. Lurker unmasked!)

  18. You’re doing so well! This is a great idea!

  19. Work it, Lady! You’re doing GREAT!

  20. Good for you! The only thing lately that motivates me to work out lately is I can have a cookie for each mile.

  21. Let’s go Amy!
    3 minutes for me!

  22. Go Amy!

  23. Good luck! You can do it! :)

  24. 3 minutes for me too! :) Good luck!

  25. Cute idea! Here’s another 3 mins! Have a great workout

  26. Great way to challenge yourself! Have fun in your workouts!

  27. Woohoo Amy, awesome idea!!

  28. Great idea, Amy! I know you can do it!

If you want an accountability partner, I’m happy to help, as I too, need to get my ass into gear!

  29. This is a fabulous work out motivation. Go Amy!

  30. 3 more minutes! You’re up to 78 this week! Good for you!

  31. Yay, Amy! :) Good luck — you can do this!

  32. Use my three minutes to burn, burn, burn those calories, girl! You can do it, Amy!

  33. I’m super excited to see your progress! You rock and you can do anything!

  34. I’ll add on to that! I think this is a great way to set a goal!

  35. Go for it! Keep pushing yourself and you’ll be so proud of what you can accomplish!

  36. Lots of luck! This is such a great goal, you can do it!

  37. I’ve never commented before, but I think this is a great idea. Good luck!
