…is a gross understatement.
I tipped the scales at a hefty 272 lbs. as of this morning. (My heaviest before the wedding was 264 lbs.) After holiday baking and holiday cooking, I went way overboard. I was still working out 1-2 times/week, but I never watched my diet.
It needs to change. I feel super lousy, constantly tired and just miserable. My pants are tight, too tight in fact, to where it’s painful to sit in the morning (I wear stretch style pants).
So, I’m not setting monthly goals, weight wise. I’m not setting up rewards. I just want to get healthy and feel better about myself day to day.
I’ll give you guys weekly updates with weight and measurements, though. If I happen to lose a lot of weight on this journey, yay for me! If not, at least I’m trying and at this point, I think an honest effort is definitely in order.
Wish me luck!

This is exactly how I felt after the holidays! I was so excited to leave my parents house and get back to my own, where I am in charge of the menu, the shopping, the eating schedule, everything! Good luck with all of your goals. Good luck with all of your goals, I’m already feeling better with more water and less sweets entering my system!

Thanks so much, girl! All the chocolate, baked goods and home cooking sure tastes good but after a few hours, I feel SO lousy! No more treats…no more! 🙂

I am a long-time reader, since weddingbee, and have this & your food blog in my google reader… and I just wanted to say that I can totally relate! I started a food blog a couple years ago when I was doing great with weight loss, and let’s just say I haven’t done so hot in awhile… I’m trying to start fresh with the same attitude as you… if I lose weight, great, but I just want to live healthier, eat healthier, and just enjoy life in a healthy way, rather than the way I have been. Best of luck to you, I look forward to seeing your progress!

You are going to do great! Getting and staying healthy will be your ultimate reward (so cheesy but so true!). 2010 is your year!

That’s all I want. I just want to be healthy and feel good everyday, you know? 🙂
