So, last week, I got an email from someoneΒ at The Cooking Channel. They mentioned that they are featuring food blogger’s pictures of Julia Child’s recipes and asked if I would be interested in letting them feature my picture of Julia’s Boeuf Bourguignon. Of course I said yes, but didn’t think anything would happen, since so many bloggers are great photographers.
I did, however, like a dork, squee around the house and call my hubs andΒ mom about it! π
I checked The Cooking Channel on Monday and this is what I see. The prompt I’m pointing to says “Food Bloggers Cooking Julia“. I hold my breath…
Click through each picture and lo and behold, I’m picture #3! WOW!
I also noticed I was thanked in one of their blog entries. Lots of happy links for The Nifty Foodie, that’s for sure!
Happy Birthday Julia, and thank you Cooking Channel for featuring my lil’ ol’ blog. π
How very cool is that, I wish I didn’t have to pay extra to get the cooking channel. I’d watch it all the time!!
I do love this dish. It’s so rustic and hearty! Yum!
I don’t have Cooking Channel either. π I wish it was included in cable. π
This is really just the coolest thing!!! Congratulations again! π π π
That’s awesome β congratulations! So happy that you’re getting recognition from a nationally recognized source…you deserve it!
On a side note, I had no idea that this weekend would have been Julia Child’s birthday….by sheer coincidence I watched “Julie and Julia” for the first time yesterday and loved it!
Thanks so much! I am still shocked that they featured me. π
I loved that movie. In fact, the movie inspired me to make that dish. It just sounded so yummy! π
Seriously – so amazing! Congrats!!!!
So cool!! I am happy for you and your awesome blog!
This is awesome! Congratulations! That’s a fantastic picture too!
